The CW has just released the first look at 'Legends of Tomorrow,' and it offers a lot of hints on what could happen in the highly anticipated DC TV series.
The first look video introduces the many heroes and villains who must work together to stop an immortal Big Bad who will be making his debut in the upcoming 'Arrow/The Flash' crossover event.
The synopsis for the series reads as follows:
"Time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter must assemble a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat to the planet...and to time itself."
The trailer opens with a voice talking about the future, where Vandal Savage has taken control of the world. Professor Martin Stein then questions the speaker, who is revealed to be Rip Hunter, a time traveler who wants to recruit Stein and a few others to help stop Savage in the present.
There are quick looks at The Atom (Brandon Routh), White Canary (Caity Lotz), Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Firestorm (Franz Drameh). Hawkman (Falk Hentschel) and Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee), who will be featured heavily in the 'Arrow/The Flash' crossover event, are also seen fighting a lot. In addition to that, it is revealed that the team is sent back in time, where they may have made some mistakes that changed the future. Because of this, they must work harder to make sure they will remain legends in the future.
'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' will also feature appearances from 'Arrow' stars Stephen Amell, Katie Cassidy and Neal McDonough as well as Grant Gustin from 'The Flash.' Casper Crump, who will play the immortal villain Vandal Savage in the 'Arrow/The Flash' crossover event, will continue his quest to kill Kendra Saunders aka Hawkgirl and take over the planet.
