Tracy Morgan Reveals God Spoke To Him After 2014 Car Accident: 'I Went to the Other Side' [PHOTOS]

Tracy Morgan has definitely come a long way since his tragic car accident at the New Jersey Turnpike back in June 2014, which left him with a traumatic brain injury, and took the life of his friend, James McNair.

After surviving something as close to death as that, Tracy Morgan is definitely making the most out of every minute he has now.

In a recent interview with Complex, the former "30 Rock" star opened up about life after his terrible accident, and the reasons - you might find hard to believe - as to why he's not taking anything for granted.

He started off the interview by saying:

"Well, you're never going to be normal after you go through something like that. You don't die for a few weeks and then come back to normal, trust me. Something's going to be missing, something's going to be gained --- you just got to live your life after that."

The 47-year-old "Saturday Night Live" alum also revealed that God actually talked to him. Tracy Morgan explains:

"But after surviving something like that, I'm probably never going to feel normal. I went to the other side. This is not something I'm making up. Do you know what God said to me? He said, 'Your room ain't ready. I still go something for you to do.' And here I am, doing an interview with you."

As for his future, Tracy Morgan somehow shares some advice when asked about his current plans for the future:

"I try not to do that. Just living my life, man. When the sun's up, I try to get it on and poppin'. When the sun is up, I try to make it happen. That's what I'm doing, whatever it is! I'm going to do it until I'm satisfied."

It seems as though Tracy Morgan's new perspective on life has got him going back to his roots.

According to E! News, it was just last month - after his "SNL" hosting - when the comedian announced his plans for a stand-up tour called "Picking Up the Pieces."

The "warm up dates" for the tour began on November 12 in West Nyack in New York, and will end on January 24 in Kansas City. The official stand-up tour starts on February 5 in Hammond, Indiana and will see its conclusion in Westhampton Beach, New York on May 28.
