Mama June Shannon and Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson are opening up about their on and off relationship as a couple who had a commitment ceremony on their former show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo but never married and split for the second time in less than a year last September.
June Shannon caught Mike trolling dating websites, she shared, that it was "a lot more than internet chatting."
"My biggest issues was my cheating," Sugar said. "I’ve done that and shouldn’t have and I look back on it, I regret it and I wanted to go to Marriage Boot Camp and get the help that I need."
Sugar further confessed that his wrongdoing involved "a lot more than Internet chatting," opposed to initial reports. In fact, Shannon revealed he'd been unfaithful with a co-worker's wife.
"It was really hurtful because one of it was a good friend of ours that we’ve known for quite some time," continues Shannon, explaining how Honey Boo Boo's father had an affair with a co-worker's wife right under her nose. "The woman had been to dinner several times."
June Shannon is best known for her appearance alongside her daughter, Alana (AKA ‘Honey Boo Boo’), on TLC’s Toddlers & Tiaras, and for her appearances on her family’s very own reality spin-off show, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
Shannon has been in a relationship with Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson since May, 2004. The couple has been in a long-term relationship, they are not married. June has four children: Ana ‘Chickadee’ Shannon, Jessica ‘Chubbs’ Shannon, Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Shannon, and Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson. All four of June's children have different fathers, none of them were ever married to June.
The pair are appearing on the new season of Marriage Boot Camp - an American reality show to attempt to repair their relationship. premiering on December 4 at 9pm on WE tv.
