Gloomy Trailer for Banksy's 'Dismaland' Released

English-based graffiti artist, political activist and film director Banksy's trailer for Dismaland is out... And it is indeed a justification for its title. The clip started off with a normal family having their meals, just going about with their typical routine, when a voice over pops out of nowhere and asks if there's something missing, in which the family responds by desperately running toward their car to make their way to Dismaland.

As they arrive at the place, they were greeted by fake security, scenes of anarchy, rats and other animals, blatant vandalism and a post car crash Cinderella. A part of the clip shows the parents weeping as their kids, obviously oblivious to the subliminal messages of each work of art, dance in joy. The video ends in a car scene, where the family was on their way home, but unfortunately - might or might not have been killed in a car crash.

Banksy's Dismaland was a temporary project as an art exhibit with a theme park concept, which was constructed in the seaside resort town of Weston-super-Mare in Somerset, England. It opened on 21 August 2015 and closed on September 27, 2015, exactly 36 days later. Apart from Banksy, various artists have made their own contribution to Dismaland. Not to mention on a Friday, there were scheduled performances by American Hip-Hop super group Run the Jewels, Hip-Hop trio De La Soul and a whole lot more musical acts.

"Is there something missing in your life? Do you need to get out more? Then stop what you're doing and come to the happiest place on earth. This is a theme park like no other. Dismaland - a place where all your dreams come true. So, what are you waiting for?" Creating a sinister twist to Disneyland, Banksy's 'bemusement' park is a "family theme park unsuitable for children.
