Mad Men's Matthew Weiner Directing an Episode of 'Orange Is The New Black'

Jenji Kohan, the creative genius behind Orange is the New Black has tapped Matthew Weiner of Mad Men to direct an episode of OITNB's fourth season on air. That's what happens when you're best buds.

You read that right, Weiner is a long time friend of Kohan and currently they are already filming the buzzing installment.

This will be the first time Weiner will be directing a show that he has not written. He previously admitted that he's an insane control freak. This will be an intersting sight to see since he doesn't have all of his fingers on all of the Orange is the New Black pies.

THR confirms that Weiner is loving the experience. Can we get anything out of him? Never. He keeps his mouth shut and he probably has the same hold on everyone else on set. According to Laura Prepon, she will get into a lot of trouble if she spills anything, but she did say that "...he knew exactly what he wanted to do." Prepon plays Alex, the former lesbian love interest of Piper in OITNB.

That's a good sign isn't it? What else can we expect from our favorite inmates from the Litchfield Correctional Institution? "With a huge cast like ours, when you have a director who knows exactly what they want, it makes everything go a lot smoother. I love Matt-he's awesome" Prepon continues.

Alright, no one's getting any juicy details out of them but Prepon promises that the fans are going to love this episode, according to reports.

The Emmy Award winning show has announced the renewal of the fourth season even at the beginning of Season 3.

Well, we'll just have to tap our fingers along the prison bars in earnest waiting until then. The fourth season is scheduled to premiere in 2016 exclusively on Netflix.
