Prevent Hangover With Salami!

Hangover or severe headache is an inevitable corollary of excess drinking of alcohol. It is normally felt several hours after the cessation of a drinking spree. Having a terrible physical condition the next morning, after a wild night, is something many party goers don't look forward to.

So to help people from preventing hangovers, many company are creating products that they perceive to be a good solution to avoid the terrible effects caused by an overindulgence in alcohol. One of the latest hangover- treatment that hit the shelves this 2015 is Serious Pig, a Peckham-based craft meat business.

The product is predominantly made of salami. It is the "world's first hangover- preventing meat treat" that hit the shelves. To avoid suffering from terrible headaches after a party, just eat the meat while drinking.

There is also another solution to avert the hangover, an anti-hangover patch released by Bytox. The product contains vitamin B12 and other B vitamins that are necessary when people are drinking. The product should be apply to skin 45 minutes before drinking. The solution is said to replace the vitamins and nutrients that are being expended by the alcohol.

Aside from the two products, there are actually numerous products released, intended for the hangover treatment. Since the holiday season is fast approaching, attempts to create a substance that can provide a solution to hangover have surely multiplied. In fact, according to Independent "hangover-treatment industry now reported to be worth billions."

But although many people believe that the said products are an appealing choice, Charlotte Stirling-Read, expert nutritionist at the Association for Nutrition is not in full support of the idea. Contrary to the salami solution, she said, she believe that "While it is a good idea to eat food, and not drink on an empty stomach, I think there might be healthier options."

As for the anti- hangover patch, Ms Stirling-Read concluded that  while "antioxidants, vitamins and minerals may help protect our cells from damage and even inflammation. But I'm not sure they are likely - or that there is any evidence for this - to 'prevent' a hangover."

For Ms Stirling, the best solution to prevent hangover is just "don't drink alcohol."
