The Rolling Stones' Keith Richards Thinks 'Mick Jagger Had Nothing To Say'

Keith Richards spills his own thoughts in an interview with GQ. He says he hasn't listened to any of Mick Jagger's solo records but that doesn't stop him from saying how it is.

When the guitar god with the dark khol was asked if he has listened to any of Mick Jagger's records? His answer was a firm "No".

"Jagger's solo work had something to do with ego. He really had nothing to say", Richards says when he was talking about his own records when he's not working with Jagger.

To date, Richards has released three solo albums. He however stresses that his reasons for making such albums are not as frivolous as compared to Jagger's. ".. I never thought of making records as a way of being famous or making a statement." There's some serious elbow jabbing with Richard's statements. He goes on to say that he just wants to make good records with good musicians. Ultimately, his aim is to play with the best artists and learn from them.

Richards, who just recently released his album in September 18 titled "Crosseyed Heart" explained that he only works on solo project when The Rolling Stones take a break and that when they do come together to play and record - ".. hey, that's my numero uno!" is his only exclamation.

His album also contains performances from other artists such as Norah Jones. She sings on the track titled "Illusion". He describes this new work as a much more different atmosphere compared to the tracks played for 3,000 rabid females. With Crosseyed Heart, he just wants to make a good record and claim that's his work. The album is his first solo album after 23 years and it's filled with the veteran's placement of rock n' roll with a resounding taste of funk, reggae, blues and rock.
