Lady Gaga's 'Poker Face' Goes Diamond after Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' 'Thrift Shop'

After Just Dance, came Poker Face. Both singles coming to life are the perfect introduction for Lady Gaga to be musically known back in 2008. Now, Lady Gaga's second single went Diamond.

You've seen her with her outrageous wigs, sparkly faced make up and weirdly eccentric costumes and gowns. But that's just icing on the cake if you really listen to her popular singles.

Her second single from the album is also the platinum single to go Diamond, RIAA announced on Monday on Twitter, stating that the 2008 hit off of The Fame album has gone Platinum ten times.

The RIAA is responsible for the industry, and market news and research for American music. Recently, they announced that the artist made history, achieving more than 40 million RIAA song awards during her career. The RIAA's social media handle, @RIAA, tweeted:

It's official! @ladygaga earns prestigious and rare @RIAA #Diamond for #PokerFace!

This is not the first time Lady Gaga has achieved Diamond. In 2013, she became the first female artist ever to earn an RIAA Digital Diamond with her 2009 hit Bad Romance.

Another track earner is Just Dance. Although it's not Diamond awarded, it did reach platinum eight times this year on May.

Before Poker Face went diamond, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' single Thrift Shop also grabbed the Diamond mark this year on November 19, as reported by EW.

Did you know that Poker Face describes Lady Gaga's personal experience with bisexuality? The background of the song centers around the idealistic goal to be with a man but internally fantasizing about a woman.  The song is titled "Poker Face" because it's hard for the man to read what she's really thinking about.

Lady Gaga is currently on American Horror Story. You can catch her on FX every Wednesdays at 10:00PM.
