Mariah Carey Rushed To Hospital For Emergency Treatment After Falling Severely Ill

Mariah Carey was rushed to a hospital in New York on Wednesday, due to a severe flu, TMZ reported. The singer is currently hooked up to IVs that are filling her up with fluids and vitamins to fight off the symptoms.

The 45-year-old singer was reportedly so dehydrated and ill that her team called for emergency services after initially complaining about feeling unwell on Tuesday night.

Exhaustion has gotten into Mariah as she has lots of gigs lined up and most recently she performed at the Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Mariah looked gorgeous just one week ago when she performed at the parade. She wore a tight red dress, showing off her slimmer figure. She did come under fire for allegedly lip syncing her hit song “All I Want For Christmas.”

Carey had to cancel one of her “#1 To Infinity” shows in Las Vegas earlier this year after coming down with a bad case of bronchitis. The cancellation came just one week into her residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace and after only three performances.

The singer is said to be making a steady recovery, and is expected to be released from the hospital later in the day.

It’s currently unknown, however, if Carey’s illness will affect her participation in Hot 97’s “Hot for the Holidays” concert, which is set for Saturday in New Jersey.

Mariah must be feeling better as the star is already tweeting and posted a message on her account on Wednesday about how festive she was feeling.

She wrote: "Went to the pier1popup party, now I'm feeling festive and ready to decorate"

The holidays are always a busy time for Mariah Carey because she has her holiday albums and she directed and starred in her own film, A Christmas Melody, which will air on The Hallmark Channel movie, December 19, 8PM ET/PT.
