Tiger Woods: Thinking Retirement After Kobe Bryant Decision

Tiger Woods was talking about Kobe Bryant's career and retirement and he sounded like he was talking about his own situation.

Bryant who debuted for the Los Angeles Lakers in 1996 announced this week that he will retire at the closure of the 2016 season after 20 years with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The 39-year-old professional golfer is considering retirement, inspired by Kobe Bryant's decision to end his basketball career.

“You add up all those games, it takes a toll on the body,” Woods said, “And eventually, it just doesn’t heal anymore. That sport is so fast and so athletic and quick. It’s just tough. It’s been tough to watch him go through the season he’s had. And understandably so, he’s been there for 20 years.”

Woods has dropped to 241st in the world golf rankings, and most of last year was lost to injury. Not to mention the fact that he made swing changes while under coach Chris Como late 2014, leading to a horrible start to 2015.

Tiger Woods also revealed that playing video games have been one of his past time while trying to recover from his injury, with high hopes in continuing his career.

He is worried that his injuries could take away from the quality of life he would have with his eight-year-old daughter Sam and six-year-old son Charlie.

He also revealed about his ex-wife Elin Nordegren, saying that they are now "best friends" despite his marriage ending infidelities. Both Nordegren and Woods tried to make their marriage work after the initial cheating revelation but ultimately divorced in August 2010.

After Nordegren, Woods found love again in Olympian Lindsey Vonn, whom he dated for three years until this past May.
