Did Adam Driver Go Full-On Jared Leto During The Filming Of 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens?'

Move over, Jared Leto! There's a new Method actor in town!

The new Rolling Stone cover on 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' may have offered a closer look at the cast and crew of 'Episode VII,' but it also reveals that Adam Driver got in touch with his inner Jared Leto and stayed in character as Kylo Ren throughout the filming of the movie.

Jared Leto had famously embodied the persona of the Joker while shooting the highly anticipated 'Suicide Squad.' The Academy Award winner allegedly only answered to 'Mr. J' and Will Smith had even admitted that he hasn't met the 'Dallas Buyers Club' actor because he had only worked with the Joker.

It seems like Jared Leto isn't the only rising villain who makes use of Method acting. In the Rolling Stone article about 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens,' it is revealed that Adam Driver took his role seriously enough to remain in character on the 'Star Wars' set. In fact, he went as far as keeping his Kylo Ren mask on in between takes.

Adam Driver's costars were very supportive of his dedication to playing Kylo Ren.

"Do your thing, man," John Boyega said in support of the 'Girls' star, although he admits that he didn't follow Adam Driver's style.

"I mean, for me, I follow what Laurence Olivier or someone said: 'Just act,'" he said, although the 'Attack The Block' star confessed he was amazed by what Adam Driver brought to the film.

"It was great to see him go for his process," Boyega said. "It was intense."

This probably explains why John Boyega's Finn looks so terrified of Kylo Ren in the scene where the two characters face off in a lightsaber duel.

See Adam Driver as Kylo Ren in 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens,' which premieres on December 18. Jared Leto will appear as The Joker in 'Suicide Squad,' which is scheduled for release on August 5, 2016.
