‘No Man's Sky' Release Date, Gameplay & Rumors: Glitches Causing Delays? What We Know!

The "No Man's Sky" release date will be held back a few months due to technical glitches. Expected to release later this year, the expected launch date of the massive adventure survival video game is now June 2016.

The news of the delayed "No Man's Sky" release date is unfortunate, but not entirely surprising for since it is known as the biggest video game title in history.

Equipped with 18 quintillion worlds, it would reportedly take a gamer 584 billion years to discover all planets with the pace of 1 planet per second.

The "No Man's Sky" website describes the sci-fi game as offering an "infinite" galaxy, which would mean a lot of work for game developers as well if a glitch has been encountered.

In addition to the glitch, being procedurally generated is reportedly likely to cause delays. Hello Games had to test every platform the game is available to, meaning wearisome work in optimization.

Apparently, having 18 quintillion worlds isn't as gargantuan as it sounds for Hello Games. According to Christian Today, the developers want to make the highly-anticipated title game and they are reportedly figuring out methods of making "No Man's Sky" compatible with the Virtual Reality's Project Morpheus headgear.

Hello Games director Sean Murray described as much to Games Radar when he said:

"There's nothing more cool and sci-fi than VR and a big procedural universe. I think that, for the people who want to just explore, and even for the space combat and things like that, it would be a good fit. Let's put it that way."

Currently, the only reason for the "No Man's Sky" delay provided by the British game studio are technical issues.

Meanwhile, fans can only hope and wait for the PlayStation Experience 2015 event for further details since Hello Games is expected to talk about "No Man's Sky" and show a demo. The the PlayStation Experience 2015 is expected to take place on December 5 and 6 at Moscone West in San Francisco.

KPopStarz reported that the last "No Man's Sky" news released by Hello Games was at the Paris Games Week last month, when they announced that the game's release will be delayed and that it will be available on PC and PS4 come June 2016.
