Nicki Minaj Bails Out Her Brother Following His Rape Arrest

Nicki Minaj reportedly posted a $100,000 bail for her older brother, Jelani Minaj after he was arrested on the suspicion of raping a 12 year old kid.

On Friday, the Anaconda hit maker reportedly put up $100,000 to get her 37 year old sibling out of jail in Nassau Country, New York after he was charged for sexually assaulting a child.

Minaj reportedly set her two houses in Baldwin, New York as collateral for the bail bond, as per Mirror.

According to ABC7, Minaj's brother was arraigned on Thursday at Nassau University Medical Center for the charges of first-degree rape and first-degree sexual conduct against a child. He was arrested on Tuesday but was arraigned two days later after he suffered an unknown health condition.

The publication further reported that investigators stated in the court documents that the victim was "younger than 13" and she was reportedly raped "several times" by Minaj between April and Nov. Some of the details were hidden from the press.

Minaj, who took home the American Music Awards last month, took to social media to express her love for her older sibling back in August. "Jelani, I love u more than you'll ever comprehend," Nicki wrote along with a photo, showing that she's hugging her brother.

The rapper then posted another message, saying, "I would cross the ocean for u. I would go & bring u the moon. Promise u. For u I will. I love my brother so much man."

Jelani was married to Jacqueline Robinson. His family, including Nicki haven't released any details yet about the controversy.

Meanwhile, Nicki took the Teragram Ballroom by storm after she hit the stage with her surprise appearance on Monday night. According to Los Angeles Times, the rapper made a late entrance at around 11 pm and brought the house down with some of her songs.
