Haley Joel Osment 2014: The Sixth Sense Child Actor Approaches His Big Comeback

Although he became one of the biggest child stars of all time after starring in films like The Sixth Sense and A.I.: Artificial Intelligence, for Haley Joel Osment, 2014 seems to be the year he'll get back on the horse of Hollywood acting.

Over the last weekend, Kevin Smith's latest film, Tusk, was just released over the past weekend - and features the first appearance in what will be Haley Joel Osment's 2014 comeback.

This is only the first Kevin Smith he's starred in, as they are now in production of a second one, called Yoga Hosers, which is currently being filmed in downtown Los Angeles, features Haley Joel Osment's 2014 turn as a neo Nazi in Manitoba, Canada. It seems the famed director of pop culture classics like Clerks and Chasing Amy has found in Osment one of his new fetish actors, joining the ranks of Ben Affleck, Joey Lauren Adams, Jason Lee and even the director himself (who plays one of the most famous characters in the View Askewniverse, Silent Bob).

However, this is only one of Haley Joel Osment's 2014 experiences, as he's been having a busy few months. After a long hiatus from acting (he decided to step back from Hollywood to pursue a college career in experimental acting at New York University), last year the Pay It Forward star had a minor role in the Will Ferrell-produced miniseries The Spoils of Babylon.

As a part of Haley Joel Osment's 2014 busy schedule, he was also sharing credits with the Entourage cast, as he'll be co-starring in the show's film adaptation, which will be in theaters by next year's summer.

It's quite the comeback for the former child star, who garnered incredible critical acclaim when he first became famous with the supernatural thriller The Sixth Sense, directed by M. Night Shyamalan and co-starring Bruce Willis. He went on to work with director Steven Spielberg in A.I. Artificial before disappearing off the Hollywood radar for years.
