New Pink Floyd Album 2014: The Legendary British Band Releases The Cover Art For Endless River, Their Newest Album

The legendary progressive rock band that has recorded classics like The Dark Side Of The Moon announced the release of their album Endless River last summer; the new Pink Floyd album in 2014 will mark the first time in 20 years that the band releases a full album with new music.

It was leaked last July that the new Pink Floyd album of 2014 would come in the fall, at around October - later on, English novelist Polly Samson (and wife of the band's singer and guitarist) announced on her personal Twitter page that the band would indeed release a new album by October, though the new Pink Floyd album of 2014 will be available for purchase in November: the 7th in Friday-release countries and then the 10th in the United Kingdom.

The new Pink Floyd album of 2014 will be the band's first album of new material since 1994, when the iconic group released The Division Bell, their fourteenth studio album. The recent material, named Endless River, will mark the band's first album since the death of keyboardist (and founding member) Richard Wright, who passed away in 2008 from an undisclosed form of cancer. It will also be the third album since Roger Waters departed the band, after their album The Final Cut.

The new Pink Floyd album of 2014 features previously recorded material that has been unheard until now; these were mostly recordings from 1993, when their last album, The Division Bell, was made. However, the album does feature new tracks, as they were mostly based on their previous recordings but decided to create a new sound from them.

The original recordings featured much more experimental tracks with no lyrics, which were added in postproduction over the last couple of years - after the band studied their recordings and decided to spice them up and add lyrics to them in postproduction.
