Jennifer Aniston, Sofia Vergara, Amy Schumer, Julianne Moore Other Celebs Join President Obama in Anti–Gun Violence PSA: Watch

There's one simple message that stars such as Jennifer Aniston, Sofia Vergara, Amy Schumer, and Julianne Moore want us to take away from their new public service announcement: “We can end gun violence.”

The stars, who joined other celebs including Kevin Bacon, Michael J. Fox, and Debra Messing, all lent their faces and voices to President Barack Obama's latest attempts at raising support for actions to put an end to gun violence.

The heartfelt message from stars such as Sarah Silverman, Nathan Lane, Olivia Munn, and Kristen Schaal also comes out just days before the anniversary of the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton, Connecticut.

‘When we come together, Americans can do anything,’ Obama says in the video.

A survivor of the Virginia Tech shooting in 2007, Colin Goddard, spoke with Variety about the star-studded PSA.

"This new video sends a clear message that we will rally together to help end gun violence.

The gun safety movement has grown tremendously over the past few years and what’s more: we’re winning.

We’re defeating the gun lobby in statehouses across the country and making it clear that we won’t sit idly by while 88 Americans are killed by gun violence every day and hundreds more are injured," he said.

President Barack Obama used his Sunday night address on terrorism to reassure the American people that the San Bernardino shootings last week appear to be an isolated incident, despite one of the killers pledging allegiance to ISIS.

The president firmly dismissed a change in strategy in the war against the extremists that would require combat troops on the ground in Iraq and Syria.

Several of the celebrities participating in the PSA have been outspoken about gun violence.
Schumer has been waging a "crusade on guns," recently appearing with her cousin, New York Senator Chuck Schumer, in New York City Hall, and Spike Lee led an anti-gun protest following the premiere of Chi-Raq.
