The Happiest Place on Earth Rumored to Be Adding Security: Walt Disney World Stepping up Their Game to Ensure Safety Among Park Goers

Walt Disney World, the happiest place on earth, will try their hardest to make sure everybody that visits stay happy and safe. In the midst of all the violent things happening around the globe, a lot of changes are being made by authorities to many public places.

There have been reports saying that Walt Disney Parks will have changes in security and will try to implement it within the week. However, Disney has not issued any statement to confirm or deny the said reports, so for now it remains to be rumors.

The Adult Side of Disney reported that new security measures are set to be put in place at the Walt Disney World parks starting Friday, December 18. At the moment, the parks only have bag checks at the entrance, but it may change in the coming days. Reports say that changes might include scanners, similar to that of the airports, at the entrance of every Disney Park. The scanners will be able to detect metals, and also check anything the person might have.

Aside from the scanners, Disney security personnel will also have hand-held wands to do additional checks if needed.

Police officers going around have been a common sight for Disney World goers. With the changes that will happen, there will be more police presence at the park, especially at the entrance. K-9 units will be present, too. While the changes will mostly concentrate on sifting through everything park goers have on them at the entrance, security around the park will still be checking those who already passed through the entrance security.

There will be no more toy guns that will be sold or allowed anywhere within the Disney property by the end of the week to make sure no threats to the security of park goers, Intercot reported. Disney will also strictly not allow guests aged 14 and older to wear masks while they are within the grounds of the park.
