Amanda Bynes 2014: The What I Like About You Star Arrested, In Trouble Yet Again [PHOTO]

Amanda Bynes' 2014 appeared to be the year when the former child and teen star recovered from her past days of abuse and mental illness. After her many problems with the law and having gone through psychiatric evaluation that eventually saw the star go through a very public nervous breakdown, Amanda Bynes' 2014 seemed to be improving with the help of her parents - but this past weekend, the actress was detained yet again for charges of Driving Under the Influence (DUI).

Amanda Bynes' 2014 has been brighter than the time before it, after the actress was transferred to her parents' house in December 2013 after having been treated for mental illnesses at the UCLA Medical Center, where she was reportedly diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, illnesses for which she had been taking her medication in the past few months while staying with her parents.

Amanda Bynes' 2014 saw her recover throughout most of the year, after her many issues in years before with excessive drug use (particularly marijuana), her issues with several celebrities that ensued in Twitter battles (most famously with actress/singer Miley Cyrus and former NSync member Lance Bass, with whom he had a very public battle after he said on a radio show that he was worried about how troubled she seemed).

However, after Bynes was admitted to the clinic for her recovery and then stayed with her parents for a while, Amanda Bynes' 2014 seemed to brighten up. However, she was released from her parents' custody earlier this month and was then arrested for DUI last Sunday; tests later showed that she was under the influence of a prescribed drug.

The incident would mean a breach of Bynes' probation, for which she was sentenced in April after her 2012 DUI charge was dropped - by then, the former teen star also had her driver's license back, after it had been revoked.
