Ben and Jerry’s to Add Vegan Flavored Ice – Creams

Good news awaits the vegan ice - cream lovers as Ben and Jerry's have decided to launch non-dairy, a vegan variety of their ice creams at Bergen County Sweet shops this month.

The Vermont - based ice cream maker, announced on last Wednesday that it would be launching four varieties of vegan ice cream, namely P.B & Cookies, Coffee Caramel Fudge, Chocolate Fudge Brownie & Chunky Monkey.

Each of the ice - cream flavors will be made with almond milk and is certified as a non-dairy product, according to Patch.

Additionally, each of the flavors will have unique natural ingredients, which will add to the flavor. For example, P.B. & Cookies contain vanilla with crunchy peanut butter and chocolate sandwich cookies.

On the other hand, the Coffee Caramel Fudge flavor will contain coffee with caramel swirls and fudge chunks, and the Chunky Munky flavor will contain banana with walnuts and fudge chunks.

"Creating these new flavors with a Non-Dairy base composition that meets the high expectations of Ben & Jerry's consumers was quite a challenge," said Flavor Guru Kirsten Schimoler. "We wanted to bring the same fun with all of the creamy, funky, and chunky swirls plus the Ben & Jerry's flavor excitement to our Non-Dairy fans and we nailed it!"

As with any other food, the calorie option of Ben and Jerry's new collection also needs to be taken care of, and the Vermont-based company has definitely kept that in mind.

Among the four new flavors launched, only the Chunky Monkey flavor boasts of a low-calorie count, but a bit higher count of fatty acids. The other flavors are a mixture of different types of fat and calorie content.

As of now, the new flavors will be available in pints and costs $5.69. Out of all the flavors, only P.B. & Cookies will be sold nationwide through the Scoop Shops of Ben and Jerry's.
