Starbucks Launches Two New Limited – Edition Lattes

Starbucks has taken the initiative of providing awesome drinks to their customers. The newest addition to this initiative are the two new drinks to make the celebration of Spring awesome.

The new drinks added by Starbucks include smoked Butterscotch latte, which can also be called Butterbeer and a Citrus Green Tea Latte.

The inspiration behind the lattes was the Starbucks Reserve Rotary and Tasting Room in Seattle, where customers and Starbucks fans from around the world can get a "fully immersive, sensory experience."

However, for the creation of the Butterscotch flavored drink, the inspiration was Starbuck's chance to tap into caramel and brown butter among other food products.

For the smoked butterscotch latte, the color is same as butterbeer and instead of the beer foam, it contains whipped cream which is definitely more delicious than anything else.

According to Cosmopolitan, the Smoked Butterscotch Latte features the usual steamed milk and espresso combination with smoked butterscotch sauce and smoky butterscotch topping.

For those who have read Harry Potter, they'll remember that Butterbeer, the drink enjoyed by Hermione and Ron was "a little bit like less-sickly butterscotch," and that explains the new drink of Starbucks.

As for the other one named Green Tea Latte, the flavor is a combination of citrus mint syrup and lemon. The drink has a soft aroma of lemon and provides the taste of green tea, which is sometimes strong, but pleasant altogether.

The citrus Green Tea Latte (was known as Matcha Basil Mint Latte during the testing phase) is made from Japanese green tea, which is steamed directly into the milk, and the citrus minty syrup is added to it.

Both drinks are available as hot, iced or blended in Frappucino starting from Tuesday, Feb. 16 at Starbucks stores of US and Canada, but only for a limited time.
