Your Smartphone Can Now Brew Coffee For You

Admit it. Technology fails to amaze us everyday. Though the thought of the rise of robots and technology takeover is quite scary, its hard not to enjoy the convenience this brings our day to day lives.

Imagine running a business without a single staff-just through a smartphone. Who would've thought that you can automatically detect hidden sugar in packaged food? Recent developments really reiterated the goodness and benefits we can have if we applied technology with food and health.

Now comes a new (and lovable) technological development that involves you and your favorite morning elixir. Would it still shock you if you find out that your smartphone can now brew your coffee too?

The coffee-in-a-pod company Nespresso has introduced Prodigio, an app controlled brewer that lets lazy prepare coffee from a distance using the Nespresso app.

Users can connect their smartphones' Bluetooth to the the Prodigio and control the temperature of the water, letting you brew your coffee without even touching it, without even being in the same room.

The Nespresso Prodigio controls the temperature of the water, allowing it to brew on its own with just a few taps on your mobile screen. All that is left for you to do is refill the water tank and replace the Nepresso coffee capsules.

Ha! There's a timer in some coffee makers! What's the difference? Well, you don't need to stand up, be beside it and drag yourself off the bed in case you forgot setting it the night before. You can access the app and brew your coffee from the comforts of your own bed!

The app also alerts you when the water tank is empty or if you are low in capsules. In the case of the latter, you can also order capsules through the app.

Wired reports that there are three settings on the Prodigio: ristretto, which is a short shot of espresso; normal espresso; and lungo, which is an espresso with double the water. If you want to shell out some extra cash, there is also a milk frother to make milky coffee beverages like macchiatos and lattes.
