MLB 2016 News: Detroit Tigers Fans Enjoy New Food Lineup

If there are other things people are waiting for during the baseball season, well, It's obviously the food. To entice sports fans to come to the games, Tigers offers new food for people to try this season. The list includes deep fried Oreos and fried bologna.

Fox said their own reporter got a chance to see what's new including the new menu."Charlie Langton with the inside looks at what's new inside the ballpark which is more than just about the hot dogs, Tiger caps, and baseball cards...An opening day base will set you back $350.  Other new souvenirs this year include craft beer glasses and game day stuffed monkeys."

They also said, "In the food court you will find fried bologna sandwiches, pork rinds, and even the Mac daddy dog." You can also find deep-fried Oreos.

Detroit Free Press was able to get a preview of the new food lineup as well.

1.     Smokehouse burger

2.     Downtown dog made up of pulled pork

3.     Pork Rind Nachos

4.     Mac Daddy Dog

5.     Chicken Waffles

6.     Grecian Fries

7.     Deep Fried Oreos

Chef Mark Szubeczak is the executive chef of Comerica Park. He "gets paid to play with the food of 40,000 fans during the season. Szubeczak and about 20 staff members have concocted 17 new menu items that will be available in the food court and on the concourse "said Detroit Free Press. The chef said he was inspired by Aussie beef when he traveled to Australia.

But the most intriguing is the Deep Fried Oreos. It is described as "It's a basket of about six cookies that are each fried and topped with powdered sugar and chocolate sauce. This sounds almost lazy. But the trick is that the cookie is softened during frying and the subtle sauce is sublime. It comes off as a high-end puff pastry".

The usual menus are still there but fans will clamor to take a bite of their new offerings. "They're still here...But you've got to keep up with the times and the young kids want to see the different things, so you've got to keep them interested." Szubeczak told DFP.

For fans that cannot wait to try their new menu, the price ranges from $7 to $9 while some burgers can go up to $12.
