Frigidaire has announced a massive recall of close to four hundred thousand side-by-side refrigerators with slim ice buckets sold between 2015 and 2019. The issues are due to a choking and laceration hazard from a defective component.

What is the Recalled Refrigerator Choking Hazard?

Electrolux Group, makers of Frigidaire refrigerators, has received hundreds of reports of plastic pieces breaking off ice buckets on certain models, with the Consumer Product Safety Commission noting two reports of the lacerations resulting in ingestion injuries from the now-recalled units.
