National Cat Day: Celebrating Special Day With Your Cats Every 29th Of October

National Cat Day is an 'unofficial' national holiday commemorated every October 29 of each year. The holiday was created by Pet Lifestyle Expert and Animal Welfare Advocate Colleen Paige in 2005 and is sponsored by the Animal Miracle Foundation.

The day of the cats is honored to inform the public that there are huge numbers of cats that need to be rescued. Since it was formed, it has save more than one million cats from diseases and danger. It is also a special day for cat owners to have fun with their pets for the unconditional companionship and love their cats have for them.

National Cat Day was founded in 2005 by Colleen Paige, an animal welfare advocate. Since that day, every year the holiday falls every 29th of October to celebrate the day of the cats. Cats aside from dogs are the best companions a human can have so celebrating their day just makes sense.

Cats are amongst the most popular pets in the world. In 2007 report, there are roughly 37 million cats owned by households and a total population of approximately 82 million comparing to about 72 million pet dogs in the US.

If you own a cat or you love these felines, here are ways to celebrate National Cat Day:

Have their teeth checked including a dental examination.

Treat them to a pet spa or grooming shop for a grooming session or nail trim.

Bring them along with your family for out-of-town vacations.

Play with these felines. They are sweet fellow who can take out your stress.

Treat them with their favorite food or have them checked for their diet prescription.

Bring them to a Veterinary clinic for check up or vaccinations.

National Cat Day, also known as International Cat Day must always be celebrated. It is the perfect time to pay them back for the attention, love and sweetness they are showing for their owners. If you still don't have one, it's the right time to feel their warm cuddles that could put your tiring day at bay.
