Jimmy Fallon’s Bono Impression Is AMAZING! U2 Misses The Tonight Show, But Something Awesome Happens Instead [VIDEO]

In the midst of a tough week for the band as threats approach its famous lead singer, U2 had to cancel on "The Tonight Show" - but all is well, because Jimmy Fallon's Bono impression almost makes up for the absence of the band!

While rumors fly about that there's someone trying to kill the singer of "Sunday Bloody Sunday," according to Gawker, U2 was forced to cancel a planned one-week residency at "The Tonight Show," but Jimmy Fallon's Bono impression gave the sad news quite a twist!

After his days in Saturday Night Live, it's been obvious for crowds that the talk show host has got a knack for impressions of famous people - and it's obvious that Jimmy Fallon's Bono impression is now going straight to his résumé after the stint earlier this week!

Last weekend, Bono suffered a life-threatening accident that left his arm in poor condition - poor enough to have to cancel U2's house residency at "The Tonight Show" and thinking of rescheduling it for another time, according to Rolling Stone. While other talk show hosts may have freaked out after such a big cancellation, the SNL-taught man is more than used to working it as it goes - and so Jimmy Fallon's Bono impersonation became a reality!

"It looks like we will have to do our Tonight Show residency another time - we're one man down," U2 wrote on the band's website, apologizing for not being able to attend. "Bono has injured his arm in a cycling spill in Central Park and requires some surgery to repair it. We're sure he'll make a full recovery soon, so we'll be back! Much thanks to Jimmy Fallon and everyone at the show for their understanding."

While waiting for U2's "The Tonight Show" residency to be rescheduled, it's a good time to watch Jimmy Fallon's Bono impression, as he sings the band's "Desire" joined by The Roots - just below!
