There's happy news from the actor who played Jack McFarland in the long-running sitcom "Will & Grace" - Sean Hayes' boyfriend Scott Icenogle is now his husband after they tied the knot in a secret ceremony not too long ago!
Late last month, several news outlets such as LGBT-themed magazine The Advocate announced that Sean Hayes' boyfriend Scott had become his fiancé and that they were planning to wed in the near future - and now it's been discovered that the couple went ahead and tied the knot in secret last week.
According to Yahoo! News, the "Will & Grace" star announced on his Facebook page that Sean Hayes' boyfriend of 8 years was now his husband, posting a Throwback Thursday picture of both of them at their wedding.
"Here's a #TBT photo of Scotty and me getting married last week," he said in the Facebook photo. "Only took us 8 years. But we did it."
Not a lot is known about the man who was Sean Hayes' boyfriend until last week. Over the course of his career, the actor has been known to keep his private life just that way - he didn't even come out of the closet until four years ago, when he had already been with Scott for quite some time.
In a Los Angeles Times interview last year, Hayes said he felt he owed a lot to the gay community because he decided to come out later in life, a fact that he's felt haunted by for a while.
"I always felt like I owed them a huge apology for coming out too late," Hayes said. "Some people in the gay community were very upset with me for not coming out on their terms. They don't stop to think about what's going on in somebody's personal life, and the struggles that they're having. It was all very scary."
But those days are long gone, now that Sean Hayes' boyfriend has finally become his husband after years of dating. Congratulations!
