After a long day's work, conflict with boss, unbalanced accounting statement, small trouble with the machine or simply a delayed bus ride, can make our day tiring.

This is the time we give ourselves a simple treat to get over a hectic day. Comfort foods are foods we eat that gives us comfort, for reason that we like its taste and we know and like the feeling when we eat it.

Each of us has our own comfort foods different from the rest. And when we say comfort foods, it doesn't mean that all are healthy stuff. Most of the times, we tend to eat what we like, regardless of its nutritional content or calories.

Comfort foods can be the same high-carb spaghetti and meatball pasta you eat when you feel tired and depressed, it can be a pint of ice cream when you feel sad or it can also be a savory tuna melt sandwich you crave when you fail a test.

Whatever food it is, comfort foods can bring the best feeling when you eat it. Eating comfort foods refers to what is call "emotional eating." Sometimes, when we feel sad, depressed or we are in a complicated situation, we tend to eat comfort foods that also trigger possibility of obesity.

"Our urge to eat is strongly driven by our moods and emotions," says Treena Wynes, a wellness consultant in Saskatoon, Canada.

So before grabbing your favorite comfort foods, here are America's all-time comfort foods, check if one or more of these are yours too:
