DC Comics Super Villain Mash Up 'Suicide Squad' Has On Set Therapist for Its Cast Members

Director David Ayer's highly anticipated DC Comics super villain team up 'Suicide Squad' isn't set to hit movie theatres until 2016, but it's already garnering huge buzz for its dark subject matter.

E! Online recently reported that the director has a therapist on set to help his actors cope with the twisted, mentally-unstable characters they are portraying. Here's what actor Adam Beach, who plays squad member Slipknot:

"David Ayer is about realism. So if your character is tormented, he wants you to torment yourself. He wants the real thing. We kind of have like a therapist on board if you fall off the wagon and really are villainous. There's a friend of [Ayer's] that's very unique in making sure we have our ground. He's not a psychotherapist, but more of a "life coach," Beach explained. "Us actors explore very fine thin lines going to the dark side and he wants to make sure we finish a movie and don't disappear somewhere and then don't show up for work."

Beach's Slipknot will be joined by an all-star cast that includes Academy Award Winner Jared Leto as The Joker, megastar Will Smith as Deadshot, The Wolf of Wall Street's Margot Robbie as Harely Quinn, and Supermodel Cara Delevigne as Enchantress.

The movie has been making the rounds in the press this past few months. First there was the big reveal of Jared Leto's new look Joker which polarized fans of the clown prince of crime.

Leto has been taking a method approach to preparing for the role. To stay in character, he allegedly pulled a very Joker like prank on his co star, Australian actress Margot Robbie, by sending her a rat!

Not all news about the film has been as funny though. On a more serious note, model Cara Delevigne also spoke out recently about the inherent sexism in modern superhero films.
