Blue Bell Creameries 2015 Back After Listeria Outbreak – This Is How Ice Creamers Plans To Regain Trust

A few months back, the Texas-based traditional ice cream company Blue Bell Creameries 2015 was caught in the middle of a scandal, as a few people died from the Listeria monocytogenes bacteria, which was later discovered to come from several of their classic products, which had already sickened several in Kansas.

This led to a massive recall of Blue Bell Creameries 2015 products, as two of their factories were found to have been contaminated with the bacteria, and the company has remained shut down for major cleaning, a process that Blue Bell claims is nearing its end after a very controversial year.

According to Wide Open Country, last July 8, Blue Bell Creameries 2015 notified the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that it was planning to start production again in their Alabama plant (located at Sylacauga), where officials in the factory will monitor closely everything that leaves the premises.

"We have been working diligently to prepare our facilities to resume test production, and our focus throughout this process has been to ensure the public that when our products return to market, they are safe," said Greg Bridges, the vice president of operations for Blue Bell Creameries 2015, in a recent statement, according to Insurance Journal. "We are very excited about taking these important first steps as part of the process of getting high-quality Blue Bell products back to consumers."

KVUE reports that it's been tough for residents of Brenham, the Texan city that serves as Blue Bell Creameries' 2015 headquarters, since the listeria scandal broke out as the town is fairly dependent on the ice cream maker's business.

The listeria outbreak saw the first time Blue Bell Creameries 2015 had any recall in its history (dating back over a century), but the events hit the company quite hard, even forcing them to cut personnel, laying off 1,450 of their employees nationwide.
