One Direction ‘Love You Goodbye’: Band Drops Heartbreaking New Song [LISTEN]

British band One Direction, composed of Niall, Louis, Harry and Liam, made Tuesday, November 10th, a happier day for their millions of fans around the world as they released a new “countdown single” from their forthcoming fifth studio album “Made in the A.M”, which hits stores this Friday, November 13th.

One Direction's fifth album, Made in the A.M., showcases the band's full range of influences and capabilities. The latest in a series of songs they've released to preview the LP is the break-up ballad "Love You Goodbye," co-written by member Louis Tomlinson.

In the new track, the boys sing about seeing a girl one last time before she leaves his life. The somber tone of the guys’ voices along with the piano and dramatic drum beat of the song make it one of their most tear-jerking tunes to date!

The power ballad follows in the heartbreak footsteps of recent track "History" and is accompanied by a string orchestra to make the track even more booming. "Oh why you wearing that to walk out on my life," they sing on the chorus. "Even though it's over, you should stay the night/If tomorrow you won't be mine/Won't you give it to me one last time/Oh, baby let me love you goodbye."

On Tuesday, Louis Tomlinson shared “Love You Goodbye” on Twitter revealing, “Here is one I wrote that means a lot to me.” Liam Payne also tweeted a link to the latest track, saying, “‘Love You Goodbye’ is such a tune right? Hey hey heyyyy.”

One Direction performed its very last concert of the “On The Road Again” tour last week, ahead of its much talked-about hiatus. Their break is set to begin early next year, but the boys’ time off in no way means they will be breaking up. “Don’t let the papers or online stuff tell you we’re not coming back. We are, I’m just going on a long holiday,” Niall Horan tweeted after the concert.

Thankfully, Directioners will get to see the group do a number of TV appearances to celebrate Made In The A.M over the next few weeks, so there’s still several performances yet to come.

The pop group's latest album will be released on November 13th and is their first without original member Zayn Malik, who inked a solo deal with RCA earlier this year.
