Jeb Bush's Dramatic Paleo Weight Loss Certifies Him to Run for President

Politician and businessman Jeb Bush has lost his beer belly along with his 40 pounds weight in just six months. With his new found confidence, Bush provided a steady performance at the fourth Republican debate as he was more confident with his new body image. Now, he maintains his diet regime that helped him through his weight loss journey.

The 62 year old politician started following a low- carb, gluten- free Paleo diet after his son, George P. Bush urged him to follow the diet based on the types of food that the early humans have eaten. Though he follows and maintains the diet regime, he also treats himself occasionally with sweets, Celebrity Health & Fitness reported. Bush always feeds his sweet cravings with peanut M&Ms and fried Snickers. After a long day of campaigning, he also takes snacks in the evening.

Bush's diet and occasional cheating paid off. In fact, after Bush lost an incredible amount of weight before and during his presidential race, doctor's then released a note on Thursday, certifying him, to be in good health and in good shape to lead the country, according to Miami Herald.

"Mr. Bush is a healthy and vigorous 62-year-old man," Dr. Alberto Mitrani concluded after examining Bush. "He is in excellent physical and mental condition and able to serve in any stressful and demanding executive setting including the Office of the President of the United States."

Other celebrities practicing Paleo diet, include Jessica Biel, who confrirmed that one of her diet secrets is Paleo, she told CrossFit Zone, "The healthy-eating plan is incredibly helpful; it just leans you down and slims you up and takes that little layer of fat, skin, and water-weight right off your body." And basketball player Grant Hill, who admitted to Paleo Lifestyle Magazine, "I think I'll wear out mentally before I will physically, I know that sounds crazy because I've had a lot of injuries, but I feel now at 40 that I'm in better shape than when I was 32 or 33, and I know a lot of that has to do with eating."
