Donald Trump Suggests Boycotting Starbucks Over Holiday Cups

Donald Trump, the man of the hour, he has been making waves across America and now he is splashed all over news outlets and social media alike.

This week Trump has been dominating everything media, from his successful SNL stint that gathered the highest rating for the show since 2012, and now he have spoken out about the Starbucks holiday cup controversy.

"Did you read about Starbucks? No more Merry Christmas on Starbucks, maybe we should boycott Starbucks. I don't know. Seriously, I don't care." Trump told a capacity crowd of thousands gathered to hear him speak at a pre-debate rally in Springfield, Illinois on Monday evening.

The controversy, which was sparked by a Facebook post of a man saying that Starbucks hated Jesus for their minimalist design on their newest holiday cups.

Looking back at the holiday cups of Starbucks, some did house snowflakes, and Christmas ornament, but the reason for the minimalistic design this year was a choice to move away from exclusively Christian-themed holiday decorations.

Trump, as one of the Republican candidates is looking for ways to win the votes and support of the evangelical and other conservative Christians in America, and maybe boycotting Starbuck will help Trump get those votes.

Trump then said that one of the Starbucks renting a space on one of his building will soon be over with their lease.

He also said to the crowds that if he becomes president everyone will be saying "Merry Christmas" again. "That I can tell you," he added.

The rally, which Trump spoke about boycotting Starbucks also was a record setter for the convention center it was held at.

The crowd gathered amounted to a total of 10,2o0, Brian Oaks, general manager of the Prairie Capital Convention Center.

Whether it's true or not that Trump will boycott Starbucks, or all his followers will, one thing is for sure Trump is making it big on news media outlets.
