Michelle Branch Files for Divorce From Husband Teddy Landau After 11 Years of Marriage

Musician, Michelle Branch filed for divorce from Teddy Landau this past February, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason after they separated in January 2014.

Branch will retain ownership of her musical compositions, demos, master recordings and royalties, while Landau gets to keep the couple's Mustang, a 2015 GMC truck and some property, according to  TMZ.

They got married in May 2004 and are at present asking for a joint custody of their only child, 9-year-old daughter Owen Isabelle.

Branch told PEOPLE of Landau in 2006, "My relationship had a very rocky start."

"My parents hated the idea – and now love him, of course. My dad never wanted me to be with a musician. I mean, how unrealistic is that? I'm not going to fall for an accountant! And when he found out he was closer in age to my husband than I was, he got very nervous."

Michelle definitely has a thing for musicians, since report has it, that as she has moved on, she now dates Chris Null, a bassist for Dead Sara.

Her two top-selling albums:The Spirit Room and Hotel Paper, were the brunette beauty's tickets to fame in the early 2000.

In 2005, she formed The Wreckers, a country music band with friend Jessica Harp but it was short-lived since they went their separate ways in 2007 to focus on their respective solo careers.

She claims that her music has been influenced by artists like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Aerosmith, Lisa Loeb, Joni Mitchell, Queen, Alanis Morissette, Jewel, Fleetwood Mac and Cat Stevens. She stated that she also likes classical music and older country music.

Branch mainly uses a Gibson Hummingbird after retiring her blue Taylor 614ce.
