9/11 [PICTURES] The Day That Changed History Will Always Be In Our Memories – Photos That Show How To Never Forget

9/11 Pictures: That day will never be forgotten and it needs to never be forgotten either. Innocent lives were lost and History changed. Even if there is pain and memories, there are also images of the event that shock and get stuck in our heads. But they need to be seen for this never to happen again.

There is a theory called "World Memory." It says that in order to create a memory of the world, there needs to be information that is remembered by more than one person; by an entire society so that the thing that is remembered by everyone becomes part of a larger memory, the memory of the world.

The truth is that most of the events that form part of that large memory are tragedies, and massive deaths. It is dramatic, but it is also a way for everyone to be aware and to see what should never happen again. Those events are remembered because they are meant to happen once, they should never be remade.

And a way to remember is seeing images. To see either pictures or videos, or movies, something that will reach up to everyone and enter through the eyes, which are a lot more receptive than the other senses.

And that is why we are choosing to show these pictures today. To remember the fallen and the lost, and all that we never wish to lose again.

On Sept. 11th of 2001 at 8.45 am the first plane crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center and the second one at 9.03 am into the South Tower of the World Trade Center.

It is estimated that on 9/11, 2,996 people died in the buildings. The most shocking of all was the falling of the bodies from the towers that could be seen from the distance, just like the fire.

Today, 9/11 of 2014, thirteen years have passed and every year we will remember the event with sadness and frustration.

9/11 the world stopped and saw. These pictures will speak more than I or anyone else ever could.
