This video to the song of Jennifer Lopez and Iggy Azalea was released only yesterday, Sept. 18th and it already has a massive amount of 7,713,544 views. And from all of them, 93, 433 people like the video and 44, 928 people dislike the video. Why so much fuzz?
It turns out that only one month ago, and almost an exact month ago coincidentally, Nicki Minaj had released her Anaconda video in which her and various dancers, basically everyone involved in the video, shook their booties for almost the over four minutes that the song has.
So, Jennifer Lopez and Iggy Azalea might have took advantage of the fact that Booty was a song contained in the A.K.A. Album which was released in June this year with Capitol Records.
There are two main reasons for which Jennifer Lopez might have chosen to do this, out of other artists.
First, Nicki Minaj has gotten 179,410,455 views in the Anaconda video, not to mention the talking in every Social Media page, forums, chats, and everything you can think of. So this competition is a good idea in that sense.
Second, Jennifer Lopez has been famous for her 'booty' for years now. She is always mentioned as someone with an important figure and the part that is specifically talked about, is that one.
About Iggy Azalea, she is an up and coming artist in the moment, so having her to "add ample talent to an already butt-shaking song," like New York Daily News noted, was a smart call in various senses.
Maybe Jennifer Lopez and Iggy Azalea will get together for another song soon, which brings more surprises, among other things, to the audience.
