Karey Cuoco and Amber Heard are among the latest celebrities to have their nude photos leaked. The two celebrities' stolen nude photos were posted on Reddit, becoming the latest victims of the second wave of the naked pictures scandal.
The new set of leaks comes three weeks after previous nude photos of female celebrities were stolen and distributed on the internet.
It is still unclear if the latest naked pictures come from the same collection that stirred conversations and legal action threats over the Labor Day Weekend.
Last Saturday, fresh celebrity nudes were dumped on Reddit and 4chan in what is now being called the "New round of celebrity nudes". According to TMZ, the new round of leaked pictures includes intimate selfies of Kim Kardashian, Vanessa Hudgens, Jennifer Lawrence and Kaley Cuoco. The leaked photos were quickly removed from the message boards. This was made effective by 4chan's new policy and Reddit's hardened position on copyright infringement policies.
However, as of Saturday evening, the leaked photos were still available on various online platforms. It was also unfortunate since the images were traceable on Twitter, where social media users have been sharing them.
The FBI opened investigations into the nude photo and privacy violation incident three weeks ago. Sad to say, their investigations and threats by legal representatives of legal action have not cowed the hackers from releasing these latest photos.
Buzzfeed gave a conclusive list of the affected parties, earlier reporting that the new wave of releases victimized celebrities such as Karey Cuoco, Rihanna, Avril Lavigne, Hope Solo, Aubrey Plaza, Kate Bosworth, Hayden Panettiere and Gabrielle Union.
In response to this latest invasion of privacy, celebrities across the country could not hide their annoyance. Cuoco reportedly confessed to Jimmy Kimmel in a recent interview that she was "greatly disturbed" by the incident.
