Humans as we are definitely have a "dark" side.

Daily Mail reports this new personality quiz lets you take a trip into the dark side by measuring how "evil" you are. Through agreeing or disagreeing to statements that specify traits belonging in the dark triad: Machiavellianism, Narcissism, and Psychopathy, this test could help users meet their inner Frank Underwood (House of Cards),  Miranda Priestly (The Devil Wears Prada) or Hannibal Lecter (Silence of The Lambs).

Created by BBC Future, the quiz was inspired by questionnaires developed by psychologists Daniel Jones and Delroy Paulhus. Although the creators warn that the results shouldn't be considered as scientific diagnoses, this quiz could at least give users an insight of their Machiavellian, narcissistic and psychopathic traits --- which, they say, will eventually help people "succeed in life."

Machiavellianism is characterized by a person's manipulative, deceptive and exploitive traits that focus solely on his or her self-interests. This trait is based on the ideology of political philosopher and The Prince author Niccolo Machiavelli, who wrote, "A wise ruler ought never to keep faith when by doing so it would be against his interests."

Narcissism is characterized by a person's grandiosity, pride, and egotism. Narcissists are often described as easily-angered, self-centered, manipulative, demanding and cocky people who lack empathy.

Psychopathy is characterized by a person's anti-social behaviours, lack of emotion, callousness, remorselessness and sadism. Psychopaths are known to be pathological liars who charm others into always getting what they want.

To measure the dark triad traits, the quiz asks users to agree on statements like "I like to use clever manipulation to get my way," "most people can be manipulated," and "make sure your plans benefit you, not others."

Results like "occasionally vile," "moderately nefarious" or "decidedly dastardly" will then pop up at the end of the test which takes about 5 minutes to finish.
