Walmart Vs. 30 Rock’s Tracy Morgan – The Chain Blames Seatbelts

Walmart vs. Tracy Morgan: The accident that took a life and left three injured, actor Tracy Morgan amongst them goes on months after. It happened in June 7th and the actor sued Walmart for it. Now, Walmart responds.

The situation that took place in June 7th was that a limo bus where Tracy Morgan and four other people were, resulted crashed by a Walmart truck that was speeding over the limit for 20 mph, according to CNN and resulted in the death of comedian James McNair and other three injured.

Tracy Morgan, known especially for his role in 30 Rock (2006-2013) TV series, ended with broken ribs, a broken nose and broken leg as well. This was a life-threatening accident and thankfully now he is recovering.

After the whole situation, Tracy Morgan filed a law suit against Walmart, stating especially that "Kevin Roper (the driver) had been awake for more than 24 hours before the crash."

Kevin Roper pleaded not guilty to the charges and now Walmart has more to say about the deal.

The response they filed said, "The injuries were caused, in whole or in part, by plaintiffs' failure to properly wear an appropriate available seat belt restraint device. By not using the seat belts, the plaintiffs acted unreasonably and in disregard of plaintiffs' own best interest."

In basic terms, Walmart goes as far as saying that the injuries were in no way under their control but of third-parties due to the fact that the seat belts were not "effectively" worn.

After this, Walmart has also asked to go to trial by jury and take things to a different level, not decided by them or by Tracy Morgan, but by a jury and a judge.

Tracy Morgan has apparently not made a new comment and not a lot more than that can be updated yet about the entire case.
