Breakfast has never been any more reflective. Thanks to a toaster maker from Vermont, you can now have your selfie imprinted on your toast every morning. Talk about self indulging!
Before loving anything else, you have to love yourself. That message could not have a more opportune story. A novelty toaster company in Vermont has sent the food world breakfast crazy with a toaster that lets you have your custom image on your toast. The company sells these toasters for only $75. The company is making the toasters by order. Clients submit images of themselves or any other image (a child, a dog, a pet, heck even your butt) and the company will make a custom toaster to suit your self indulgent needs.
Galen Dively is the man behind this genius idea. The company he registered goes by the name Vermont Novelty Toaster Corp.. He says the idea came to him four years ago. Back then, he continues, high minimum orders and huge set up fees made sure every other American could not have these personalized breakfast machines, save for the huge corporations.
Now, the proprietor takes multiple orders of everything, but mostly, he gets a lot of selfies. "I would say 99 percent of our orders are selfies," Dively told news reporters.
Back in May, Galen Dively sent out a press release to spread the word about his toaster. However, orders were still not trickling in as expected. It was not until last week that the selfie toast craze kicked in. Before that, he could count the number of toaster orders he got on one hand. Since then, the orders have exploded.
To have your very own face imprinting toaster, just post a photo of yourself on the site, or any other image (you might want to consider your favorite food news website's logo), then pick a color of your choice, then wait 10 days as it is being made.
