Rupert Grint Broadway [PHOTOS] Ron Weasley And Harry Potter Long Gone

Rupert Grint Broadway: On Thursday night, Rupert Grint made his debut on Broadway with the play 'It's Only A Play,' where he starred alongside Matthew Broderick, Nathan Lane and Stockard Channing. He looked so different to when he was in Harry Potter that it could be labeled as a Before and After.

Rupert Grint played Ron Weasley, Harry Potter's best friend and that role marked his life. Not only due to the fact that it's a worldwide hit and perhaps the biggest one that ever existed, but also because it left him a fortune that allows him not to work one more day of his life.

Such declaration appeared in The Mirror, where they analyzed Rupert Grint's life now and held an interview with him as well, where she showed a humble and friendly side.

The report stated that he holds a fortune that surrounds £25 million and that is what he earned for the 8 Harry Potter films. When asked, though, Grint doesn't really know the exact quantity but he does say that it is a lot.

Still, even if he could choose not to work, he still wouldn't.

"I just love what I do, trying new things and scaring myself once in a while," he's stated.

And maybe that reason brought him to Broadway to try out acting in theatre. He's never had training as an actor. He entered Harry Potter when he was 11 years old, and he finished the last movie of the series when he was 22, now he is 26 years old.

On Thursday, at the debut in Broadway, he looked very different in his dressing style. He was all in black and with a crocodile jacket, with smoky eyes as well. It was an interesting change and a very distant image from 'little Ron' as he had been seen for so long.

The Daily Mail noted some of the critics that were made from his performance on Thursday and they weren't exactly incredibly.

"Grint overdoes it as Frank Finger... but this young thesp has grown up since his Harry Potter days."

Still, Rupert Grint came out ecstatic from his performance.

"I'm still very new to this theatre stuff but I love it and definitely want to do more. I get so much more out of it than I do with films."
