Darren Wilson, Police Officer In The Ferguson Case, Out Of Sight And Suspected To Resign

Darren Wilson, Police Officer - The police officer involved in the Michael Brown case hasn't been seen since the shooting took place and now, he's said to be arranging his resignation after the jury's decision.

On Aug. 9, a controversial shooting took place. Darren Wilson shot Michael Brown in "self-defense."

Still, there's been two sides; one supporting Darren Wilson, saying he was doing his job. The other side defending Michael Brown, stating that he was unarmed and thus, the police officer didn't act accordingly.

Another important issue is that Darren Wilson is white and works in a police force which is composed by almost entirely all white officers, whereas most of Ferguson's population is predominantly of black citizens, Yahoo News reported.

This seemingly raised a lot of tension among the entire population, not only in Ferguson, but nationwide.

In addition, Darren Wilson hasn't been seen at all after the entire case was known in the media. He was even reported as the officer who took place in the shooting one week after it happened.

This apparently gave him time to "vanish," erasing his media accounts like Facebook and moving 40 minutes from Ferguson with his girlfriend as a protection measure.

Meanwhile, according to CNN, Darren Wilson is arranging his resignation with city officials. He's doing it to help ease the pressure and protect his fellow officers.

Still, he wouldn't do it until the grand jury made their decision about indicting him or not on the case for fear. He's afraid that his resignation before that time could be seen as he's admitting the fault to the case.

The St. Louis County grand jury is meeting on Friday to deliberate the final proceedings and possibly a decision on the case of Michael Brown.

"If that's going on, I am not a part of it," said Chief of police, Tom Jackson, when asked about the possible resignation of Darren Wilson and Fox 2 Now noted.

"Nothing has been decided," said Mayor James Knowles in another response. They will both be giving no further interviews until the grand jury makes reaches a verdict.

It will be a matter of waiting and seeing to witness what actually happens to police officer Darren Wilson.
