Lose 120 Pounds, Man Goes On A Low-Carb And High-Protein Diet

A man identified as Kyle Mattson from West Fargo has lost 120 pounds from his 415 pounds when he has not decided to go on a diet yet.

Mattson reportedly started his diet back in April this year and he still plans to lose around 45 to 50 pounds. He has accomplished his weight loss by eating five meals a day and he ate a lot of vegetables and cut down on beef and chicken.

The dieter also revealed that he uses a protein supplement such as flavored shake but pointed out that he had limits regarding his sugar and carbohydrates intake. He said that when he started his diet, he never felt hungry and that he is not starving himself.

Mattson said that he has always been a big guy since he stands 6 feet and 7 inches. He never really thought of dieting but his friend has undergone the same diet due to health-related issues. 26-year-old Mattson added that the results of his diet are really evident and he urges people to do it too.

According to reports, the program is called "Ideal Protein" and it was developed by a physician and nutrition expert. One can only undergo the said diet if there was a credential from the health professional.

The dieters trying the said diet out loses weight but at the same time eliminated the chronic health conditions they are suffering from such as high blood pressure and even diabetes. However, health experts are saying that diets that are high in protein and low in carbohydrates are still dangerous due to the nutritional deficiencies it poses.

The diet is aimed to burn excess body fat but spares the muscle fat. Pregnant women, people suffering from kidney disease and cancer are not encouraged to try the said diet.
