Uzo Aduba ‘Orange Is The New Black’: Crazy Eyes Suzanne Tears Up After Winning Screen Actors Guild Award

In one of the most emotional moments in the entire night, the speech that Uzo Aduba from "Orange is the New Black" gave after winning her first Screen Actors Guild Award is one for the ages, as the actress thanked her co-stars and colleagues in a heartfelt speech.

Perhaps the most interesting character in the show (or at least in the top five, due to the fact that there are a lot of wonderful and powerful stories in the Netflix dramedy), Uzo Aduba's "Orange is the New Black" performance has been considered a breakthrough since her first season as Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren in the prison show.

As The Daily Mail reports, Uzo Aduba's "Orange is the New Black" win seemed to catch the first-time nominee in a total shock, after "Breaking Bad" superstar Bryan Cranston announced her name during last Sunday's ceremony, where the guild of actors award the best performances from the entire year.

Of course, Uzo Aduba's "Orange is the New Black" win wasn't the only time the show got represented in the big awards night: later in the ceremony, the Netflix series (categorized as a Comedy in award shows though it's actually in the middle between Comedy and Drama) ended up taking the prize for Best Cast in a Comedy Show, with all the famous ladies from Litchfield prison taking up the stage, according to Us Weekly.

As Entertainment Weekly reminds the world, having all the "OITNB" women in one stage is no easy feat, considering there are about forty characters that, while they may not all be part of the main cast, they are definitely prominent enough to go up on stage to receive an award for the entirety of the cast.

Though the protagonist of the show, Taylor Schilling, was missing from the award show, she later tweeted her congratulations to her cast mates.

Don't miss out the moving Uzo Aduba "Orange is the New Black" acceptance speech!
