Heisenberg: 'Breaking Bad' Launches Blue Brand of Vodka in the US

Breaking Bad fans got a nice treat after the show went off the air. The North American distillery Blue Ice Vodka teamed up with Sony Pictures Television to launch a limited edition line of vodka called "Heisenberg".

“The Dude had his White Russians, the Blues Brothers had their Night Train… and now Heisenberg has his very own Blue Ice Vodka,” said the show’s executive producer and creator, Vince Gilligan.

“I’m counting on our fans to use it in the creation of a great many delicious cocktails. I’m getting thirsty just thinking about it.”

The collectible blue bottles features a silhouette of Walter White, also known as Heisenberg in his fedora hat and glasses. It comes in three limited edition bottles with different catch phrases “Tread Lightly,” “Say My Name” and “The One Who Knocks,” which are usually the words uttered by the infamous character prelude to murder.

The worldwide cult TV series "Breaking Bad", told the story of a struggling high school chemistry teacher in New Mexico, played by Bryan Cranston, diagnosed with lung cancer who turns to a life of crime together with his former student.

Cranston stated that, though he enjoyed doing comedy, he decided he "should really focus on doing something else. But I think any good drama worth its weight always has a sprinkling of comedy in it, because you can ease the tension to an audience when it's necessary, and then build it back up again."

"Walt White has no clue he's occasionally funny, but as an actor I recognize when there are comedic moments and opportunities."

White adopted the name Heisenberg after the German physicist Werner Heisenberg and gained shady reputation under that alias. He produced and sold crystal meth to save enough money for his family's future after he will succumb to his illness.

Walter built a brand for those drugs in a blue tinted-meth, just like the three limited-edition Blue Ice Vodka bottles.

The Heisenberg vodka is now in stores in the US.
