Fox Pulls ‘Family Guy’: Episode Removed Because of Boston Marathon Plot

An episode of "Family Guy" was pulled by Fox from its' website in the wake of the Boston Marathon attacks, according to CNN.

The episode was pulled due to its' own Boston Marathon reference, in which Peter Griffin, the main character, drives his car through the race, running people over in attempt to win.

However, a doctored version of the episode was uploaded online, edited to look like Peter set off the explosions with his cell phone.

"Family Guy's" creator and Oscar host, Seth MacFarlane, spoke out about the attacks and the disrespectful, doctored, episode circulating around the Internet.

"The edited Family Guy clip currently circulating is abhorrent," he tweeted. "The event was a crime and a tragedy, and my thoughts are with the victims."

The episode in question is called "Turban Cowboy" and was originally broadcast on March 17.

Fox confirmed that they have pulled the episode from Fox.com and Hulu, according to CNN.
