Justin Bieber Lyft: Use Taxi’s ‘Bieber Mode’ And Get Biebs’ New Album ‘Purpose’ For Just $5 – Beliebers Will Flood Taxi App [VIDEO]

In one of the oddest recent partnerships between an artist and a company, pop superstar Justin Bieber and Lyft have created a way to get the singer's newest album on the cheaper side, just by using the taxi app on a special mode.

With new Justin Bieber Lyft promo, users of the taxi app can use the "Bieber Mode" on it while ordering a taxi, and it means getting a big discount for his latest album, "Purpose," which will go on sale on November 13 - at $5 if you use Lyft in a ride costing just that amount!

According to The Verge, the Justin Bieber Lyft promo will only last from November 13 to November 19, and it will not only mean a substantial discount on the star's new album (which costs $12.99 on iTunes) but also gives users $5 credit on their Lyft account for a future ride.

According to International Business Times, the Justin Bieber Lyft partnership isn't even the first time a major pop star teams up with a taxi app to promote their new music, as a few months back the Princess of Pop herself Britney Spears partnered up with Uber to debut her single "Pretty Girls."

There's a long chain of musicians who have partnered up with brands that have little to nothing to do with what they're all about, including how Kid Rock teamed up with Little Caesars and Shakira did the same with Rovio - so perhaps Justin Bieber's Lyft partnership isn't all that strange.

According to Ad Week, the way the company announced it was teaming up with Selena Gomez's ex boyfriend was by sending an e-mail to all of its app users, more than a million of them, jump-starting the campaign by sending a video of what was happening featuring the "What Do You Mean" singer - watch the Justin Bieber Lyft clip below!
