Christmas Dinner Calories: Brits Consume Up To 6,000 Calories On Christmas Day!

Of course, it's well known that Christmastime - and the entirety of December up to the first days of January, probably - is also a time to gain weight due to all the delicious meals that only exist in the last days of the year, but the Christmas dinner calories count in the United Kingdom have proven that it's much more than the average around the world!

It's unclear exactly how fattening the average American Christmas meal is, but a recent study has shown that the Christmas dinner calories that British people consume is considerably more than what they think they're eating - a full double more, actually!

For British people, the dinner of December 25 is about as important as Thanksgiving might be to those in the United States, so it's no surprise that it's quite a shock for them to realize the Christmas dinner calories they end up consuming on this very special occasion, meant for close family and friends throughout the world.

According to The Mirror, people around the United Kingdom are convinced that their Christmas dinner calories are only about 2,600, as opposed to the actual 6,000 they end up gobbling on nativity night - it's also about twice as much as what their ancestors consumed in that night only a few decades ago, with the advent of different processed ways to make the traditional meals of the holiday.

As The Independent calculates, the mad 6,000 average of Christmas dinner calories is the equivalent of 12 Big Macs; in all, about three times the daily recommended amount for calorie consumption for a woman and about two and a half times the recommended amount for men.

So, while British meals during Christmas day might sound delicious, it could be a time for them to lay off some of the mince pies, yule logs or even turkey - feeling incredibly regretful over one night's eating is just not worth it!
