‘Orange Is The New Black’ Season 3 Summer Premiere Announced, Netflix Marks New Original Series!

When Netflix made the turn from just on-demand streaming website to major television production company, its two leading shows (that became audience and critical hits) were "House of Cards" and that dramedy about a women's prison - and now, days after the release of the full third season of the Kevin Spacey show, Netflix has announced the "Orange is the New Black" season 3 premiere!

For those who watch "House of Cards," it's more than likely that following the Friday 27 release of the third season, they've already watched the entirety of it, and are now suffering from the severe need to watch more episodes, so the "Orange is the New Black" season 3 announcement comes right on time.

According to The Huffington Post, the "Orange is the New Black" season 3 release date wasn't the only major announcement made by Netflix made this week, as they also said when the sequel to "Wet Hot American Summer," entitled "Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp," would be released: July 17.

While the biggest announcement was probably the one about the "Orange is the New Black" season 3 premiere, the cult film's sequel (which will bring back most of the original cast and add a few more in a star-studded production) will come in an eight-episode series format.

In any case, Metro UK reports that fans of the Netflix prison comedy can see the return of beloved stars like Taylor Schilling and Laura Prepon, though others who won't be returning will be Jason Biggs and Pablo Schreiber. In the meantime, the series will feature a few newcomers, such as Mary Steenburgen, Blair Brown, Marsha Stephanie Blake and Mike Birbiglia.

Fans of the show will get to see the full "Orange is the New Black" season 3 on June 12, while the Wachowski siblings' series "Sense8" will premiere on June 5, and Canadian collaboration "Between" will premiere sometime in May, according to The New York Daily News.
