World Restaurant Awards 2015: Spain’s Celler de Can Roca BEST Restaurant In The World – See Full List!

If you're traveling abroad and want to get a taste of some of the best foods on the planet, the World Restaurant Awards 2015 is the best place to start, considering CNN calls the event the "Oscars of the fine dining world."

The small Catalonian city of Girona, near Barcelona, Spain, hosts the top winner of the World Restaurants Awards 2015, and it's the second time the top eatery takes the coveted first spot, as it's beaten its biggest opponent, the Norwegian Noma in the Scandinavian country's capital city, Copenhagen.

The New York Times reports that the World Restaurants Awards 2015 haven't gone without their share of naysayers, as it has been said that there are growing concerns about the voting process as well as the general quest of honors and awards.

Eater reports that 12 percent of the World Restaurants Awards 2015 comprises South American eateries, a major boost in the region.
