Barden Bellas Will Return for Pitch Perfect 3!

With the success of the first two films. The Barden Bellas will return sooner than expected, for Pitch Perfect 3! Pitch Perfect two has already grossed more than $160 million at the box office since its premiere in May, beating the first movie's $65 million income.

The three year gap between the release of the first two movies will not occur this time around, as a faster demand for the third film seemed clear after the second movies great success. Kay Cannon, who wrote both the first and second Pitch Perfect movies, is in talks to write the third. There's no word on what the plot will be, but Cannon presumably knows the Barden Bellas better than anyone, so if anyone can do the characters justice, it would be her.

There's also no word on whether Elizabeth Banks would direct the third film, either. She is one of the film's producers though, so at the very least, she'll probably return as her always overdressed a cappella commentator character.

In Pitch Perfect 2, After being humiliated in front of none other than the President of the United States of America, the Bellas are taken out of the Aca-Circuit. In order to clear their name and regain their status, the Bellas take on a seemingly impossible task: winning an International competition no American team has ever won. In order to accomplish this monumental task, they need to strengthen the bonds of friendship and sisterhood, and blow away the competition with their amazing aca-magic. With all new friends and old rivals tagging along for the trip, the Bellas can hopefully accomplish their dreams once again, and reclaim their former glory.

The expectations are truely high as we eagerly await the third installment of this hit, musical sensation that is captivating fans around the world.
